Community Hospices is governed by a volunteer board that also oversees and governs The Washington Home and The Washington Home Center for Palliative Care Studies. Part of the Board of Governors includes a Hospice and Palliative Care Committee, which meets regularly to discuss issues of importance that are specific to Community Hospices.

Collectively, board members donate nearly 1,000 hours each year performing their oversight roles.
